„Tax Cobra“ is a joint team comprising of the Unit for Combating Corruption and Financial Crimes (ÚOKFK), the General Financial Directorate and the General Directorate of Customs. Team members work together to fight the tax evasion and tax crimes, especially in the field of value added tax and excise tax. Representatives of the Tax Cobra operatively exchange information within legal limits, which makes possible to quickly identify tax frauds and to perfectly coordinate the individual proceedings.

The established cooperation among the Tax Cobra team members enables prompt identifying, detecting and combating of tax evasions. The Tax Cobra’s principal objectives are ensuring of the proper collection of taxes, recovry of illegally acquired financial means to the state budget and prosecution of offenders.
